The wooden stools (1350) and stained glass (1410) in the choir, and figures on the portals, make the cathedral one of the richest medieval churches in Germany. Around Fischmarkt, you will finf numerous historical buildings. The eastbound street beside the town hall leads to the medieval restored Kramerbrucke (1325) which is lined on each side with timber-framed shops. This is the only such bridge north of the Alps.

Prague is not only the capital city of the Czech Republic but it is also the country’s biggest city in area and the number of inhabitants, 1.2million. The city, which houses the seats of the president & other significant state institutions, is situated in the middle of the Czech basin, where it has fulfilled the function of the most significant city and center of state power in the Czech lands since the 9th century, when the first Przemyslid prince, Borivoj, is documented as having settled here. The most attractive part of Prague is the historic core (UNESCO), which makes the city one of the most interesting tourism sites in the world. The ancient suburbs – Hradshin, the Lesser Town, and the Old and New Towns – provide a unique atmosphere and untold excellent monuments (several thousands), for which Prague has been called the city of hundred spires, the golden city or the mother of all cities. Also, the imposing Charles’s Bridge, a stone monument to bygone days connects the history of the historical suburbs on the left & right-hand banks of the Vltava. King Charles IV had the bridge built on the site of the older Judith Bridge, which had been destroyed by floods, in the second half of the 14th century. The bridge is 515 meters long & 9.5 meters wide. Along its sides, it is flanked by thirty statues of which the most valuable belong to the crowning work of the baroque masters. The Old Town, the oldest of all Prague towns, is situated on the right-hand bank of the Vltava. The center of historic Prague spreads around the Old Town Square. The Gothic town hall with its astronomical clock still sounds each hour accompanied by the Grim Reaper ringing a bell and a procession of the apostles.

Vienna, the capital of Austria, is so like an eccentric grandmother that it is hard not feel affection for her. Her home is full of treasures of a full & colorful life, from Habsburg riches to the outpourings of Art Nouveau artists such as Gustav Klimt. She has nostalgic memories of famous old companions, including Johann Strauss, who created the waltz, and Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, all of which make her a great storyteller. Vienna is a city of 1.6 million inhabitants.
